We have not had the occasion to meet the artist but we discovered he had a website which contained photos of recent work and the biography which follows verbatim.
"My wood carving got it's beginning during the early 1980's. I attended church regularly and before the service started the men would gather in the church yard to whittle, making only shavings. I decided that instead of just making shavings I would make a carving. From those simple beginnings, I discovered that I had a talent to create. After a period of honing my talents, my carvings grew from small pieces to progressively larger and larger pieces. Today my pieces, which are of my own design, are unique with no two pieces being exactly alike. The pieces, which range from folk art to contemporary, vary in size, design, and amount of detail."
